Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a transformational tool in achieving net-zero goals by optimising energy efficiency, reducing carbon footprints, and enhancing trend resilience. AI-galvanised technologies, such as predictive data, machine learning, and computerised energy management systems, are crucial in advancing sustainable development. However, the proper administrative and governance challenges accompanying AI formation require urgent consideration. A qualitative research method incorporated procedure analysis, expert interviews and case studies. The findings emphasise the need for comprehensive administrative designs, accountable AI use, and global support to ensure AI’s alignment with sustainability goals. AI is being used more and more. According to a Sopra Steria Next analysis, worldwide AI expenditures are expected to reach $1.27 trillion by 2028. Additionally, 65% of respondents to a McKinsey study stated that their companies frequently use generative AI. AI-powered solutions can help businesses save 10–20% on energy expenses and up to 10% on CO2 emissions. It could also result in 15% energy savings for transportation systems and up to 20% for buildings. By leveraging AI for sustainable agriculture, impartial reserve dispersion, and climate resilience, this study offers innovative solutions to global environmental challenges. Future applications of this research include developing AI-driven sustainability models, focusing on AI procedure structures, and fostering global collaborations to standardise AI regulations.
