Abstract:
; Central venous catheters (CVC) are devices of great importance for healthcare and essential for adequate management of critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units. Aim of work; to investigate multiple aspects of blood stream infection in ICU patients with central venous catheters. Firstly, it sought to determine the incidence of bloodstream infections. Secondary, it aimed to identify and clarify the risk factors associated with central venous catheter-related infections in the ICU.
