Abstract:
In the context of global warming and the impending energy revolution, hydrogen energy is seen as a crucial pillar in developing a sustainable society. Hydrogen is a vital molecule that may be extracted in several ways utilizing both non-renewable and renewable energy sources. Unfortunately, the need for a gradual transition to renewable energy sources has been a major roadblock in developing and implementing green hydrogen. Consequently, this chapter aims to offer a techno-economic study of systems for producing hydrogen from wind energy employing a water electrolyzer. The analysis includes analyzing and reviewing the system performance and economics in several locations and, finally, environmental impact.
