Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been a global healthcare problem with a sustained increasing incidence. The ultimate goal in IBD is to restore disease remission as early as possible and to prevent disease progression and resistance to pharmacotherapies. Treatments and therapeutic approaches in IBD are constantly evolving. The newly emerged biologic treatments are one such evolving approach, with much ongoing studies to determine the outcomes safety and side effects, in comparison to the older immunosuppressive treatment regimens. Aim of the work: This research aimed to assess, evaluate and follow up IBD patients to decrease work disabilities and social and economic burdens of the disease on the community.
