يعتبر مرض السكرى النوع 1 الناتج من تكاتف عوامل وراثية و مناعية و بيئية و الذى ينتج من مناعة ذاتية تؤدى الى تدمير خلايا البنكرياس المنتجة للأنسولين الهدف من البحث: دراسة التغيرات فى مستويات انترلوكين 12 فى الأطفال الذين يعانون من مرض السكر
