Assessment Of Maternal Knowledge Attitude And Behavior Towards The Utilization Of Child Care Services In Zagazig District

Primary health care has been adopted as the main strategy to attain the goal of health for all by 2000 One of the principle foci of primary health care is promotion of maternal and child health. The health of mothers and children are more likely affected by variation of quality In primary care many health services are available nowadays. Since the public are the consumers of these services, they should be approached every now and then to identify the level of their health knowledge in order to get favorable attitude towards the available services (i.e. become co operative and responsive in making benefit of the offered services So, it was impressively needed to conduct such study to identify maternal satisfaction with the existing child care services in primary care unites to improve them and maximize its utilization by mother Two ruban health centers and six PHC units were selected randomly from centers and units in Zagazig District, Sharkia Governorate Data were collected using questionnaire sheet including the socio demographic data of the mother in the study e.g. name, age, education job of the women and her shusband and questions about knowledge, attitude and behavior of mother towards the child care services.
